Who do you invite to a bridal shower?

Why Have The Bridal Shower and Who Do You Invite?

I think the first and most important rule is to ask the bride if she want's a shower, and if she does ask her who she would like to have attend.

Why Have a Bridal Party?

For fun, sharing, and expressing joy. But first ask the bride if she wants one. Some brides feel uncomfortable with all the attention, or they don’t want their friends to feel obligated to spend more on gifts. Don’t plan a surprise bridal party for the bride unless you’re sure she will enjoy it.

Who is Invited to Bridal Showers?

Ask the bride for a guest list! If it’s going to be a surprise bridal party, ask her mother or fiancé for the list. Be sure you're only inviting people to the bridal party who will also be invited to the wedding. Double check if necessary. Invite female relatives from both families of the bride and groom and all the women in the wedding party as well as the bride's close friends.

Traditionally, bridal showers were attended only by women. Today some bridal showers include the groom and his friends. This is a new option that has to be taken into account in the planning stage.
